When you want to have an off-road vehicle that can do anything the right brand to choose is Jeep which takes to the sand for a new model.
While most of the Jeep models are built to handle almost every terrain, one that’s troublesome for vehicles that aren’t specifically built for it is sand. You can easily take most of the models with 4WD capability out on the beach and enjoy a secluded spot or you can take them for a fairly long ride through the desert and enjoy the ride, but you’ll have to go slow.
Jeep has had a variety of models that can offer the fun and active drive on the sand in the past and now announces plans to be able to do this once again. The new Jeep Deserthawk trims are going to make a return to the market and become part of the lineup in a variety of ways. The first of the models that will wear the Deserthawk trim will be the Jeep Cherokee which will make its appearance in the first quarter of 2020. This SUV will bring about the performance qualities needed to make sure you can have a lot more fun in the sand.
Jeep is Giving You the Experience You Want in the Sand
While you might argue with me and say there was a Deserthawk trim offered in 2017 for the Renegade, that model was wearing mostly cosmetic upgrades and didn’t have much at all in the way of performance items. The Deserthawk was added to the Trailhawk trim and included special paint and graphics, rock rails, a four-pin wiring harness, a Class III towing package, and a Rock Mode that was added to the adjustable Selec-Terrain drive system. This was meant more for the rougher terrain and not for the sand that will be what future Deserthawk models are made for.
When we see the next versions of the Deserthawk trim in the Jeep lineup they will feature the ability to run across the sand at high speeds in order to compete in some of the sand races that take place around the world. These models will meet the eight desert-specific engineering standards that are set and should add a strong performance and fun factor to the Jeep lineup to make it possible to have the ride that’s desired wherever you need to or want to go.
With the new Deserthawk arriving in 2020, you can see how much FCA is leaning on Jeep to continue to be the profit-rich brand that carries the weight for the company. The first Deserthawk model will help set the tone for whether or not Jeep can be the brand that FCA relies on for its performance and the fun desired out on the sand. As one of the toughest terrains to drive on, you’ll have the ability to determine whether or not you should choose a model that has the ability to run across the sand at a fast pace or you can plod through it slowly at a crawl.
