Nissan GT-R50 – Nissan Helps a Design Brand Celebrate

Nissan applied for a patent to reserve the name of the Nissan GT-R50 as a way to celebrate its partnership with one of the most important design brands.

The European Intellectual Property Office has receives an application to reserve a name that signifies the celebration of two companies having an anniversary at the same time. This new application is to reserve the GT-R50 name and it will show a partnership between Nissan and Italdesign to offer us a stunning creation of a new car that will be a spectacular vehicle to drive. Even if you can’t imagine the possibilities, you’re going to be amazed when you see the video below and know that this will be a special and amazing car when it arrives on the market.

Debuting the new Nissan GT-R50 Italdesign

The original version of the Nissan GT-R was created and offered on the market fifty years ago. That’s the same year that Italdesign began doing business. This design company is owned by VW Group and has chosen to take the lead to develop, engineer, and build the new version of the car that will be an amazing sports car to drive. The team from the Nissan Design Europe group in London and the Nissan Design America in San Diego took care of the styling together.

This new version of the Nissan GT-R is based on the R35 version of the car and its one that offers a radically designed exterior that’s amazing and impressive for the few that will be able to purchase it and drive the car. This new build is likely to be one that’s previewing the next generation of the GT-R and its one that you might visualize the R35 model that could be offered twenty years in the future. Other upgrades include larger intercoolers, a heavy-duty crankshaft, improved pistons, new connecting rods and bearings, high flow injectors, and much more. The transmission has been improved as well to make it possible for the GT-R50 to make 710 horsepower and 575 lb.-ft. of torque.

When you think about everything that’s been added to make this the car that you could absolutely imagine, you’re going to know this is a car that was created without limits. The team was more than proud to build this car with its amazing look and feel. Nissan is ready to take this car on a promotional tour that will start in Europe and will likely make its way to the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
