The Nissan Altima has a new look for the 2023 model year. Nissan updated it with new wheels and headlights, and they redesigned the front end giving it a sharper look. The 2023 Altima is also sporting the new Nissan logo. Want to know more about the latest Nissan Altima? Take a look.
An Updated Modern Exterior Design
The big changes to the 2023 Altima are upfront. A newly styled grille has LED headlights on each side, and the new front-end design also has daytime running lights and turn signals sharing the same space on each side. The SR model will add to the look with a grille finished in black chrome.
Most of the trim levels have new alloy wheel designs, and two new exterior paint colors join the lineup. You can now choose from Gray Sky Pearl and Garnett Pearl.
New Technology for an Updated Sedan
What’s a great new exterior look without some new goodies inside? While the lower trims still come standard with an 8-inch touchscreen, a large 12.3-inch touchscreen joins the party as part of the optional Premium Packages for the SV and SR trims. This package also gets you wireless Apple CarPlay, a wireless charging pad, and heated front seats. All these extras just add to the standard tech that already comes in the SV, including the satellite radio, USB-C port in the front row, and the two USB ports for the back seat passengers.
A Sedan Worth Driving
You get to choose between two different engines with the Nissan Altima. The lineup is the same as the previous model year, starting with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out a respectable 188 horsepower. If you live in an area where the snow falls in the winter, the Altima even offers all-wheel drive with this engine for better traction when you need it.
The sporty Altima SR doesn’t settle for the standard four-cylinder engine. It bumps up the power with Nissan’s 2.0-liter VC-Turbo four-cylinder that puts out 236 horsepower with regular gas and 248 horsepower with premium gas. This engine will propel the family sedan up to 60 mph in just 5.8 seconds.
Safety Features for Protection on All Sides
The 2023 Nissan Altima has some newly standard safety features. The Nissa Safety Shield 360 group comes standard at every trim level. This means that you get forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian detection whether you have the entry-level S or the high-end SV. Every Nissan Altima also comes with lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. If you like the idea of an adaptive cruise control system that will help you maintain your distance from the car in front of you on the highway, Nissan’s ProPilot Assist system adds this. You can get it with the Premium Package.
You can’t go wrong with the 2023 Nissan Altima. It has a new look on the outside, new tech features on the inside, and more standard safety features than ever.
