Hyundai has been doing a bit of tinkering to some of its most popular models, like the Tucson, in an effort to offer drivers a much sportier experience.
If you’ve read about or spent time at the SEMA Show this year you would notice there was a large number of Hyundai models present at this show that have been upgraded and boosted to show off what the tuners have made them capable of offering.
While there seems to be a large number of Elantra models and a few Ioniq versions that have been tuned up, one company took the Tucson Sport and gave it the performance improvements and modifications to make it a vehicle that can be a lot of fun to drive on the road and the track.
This version of the Tucson was built by Vaccar to bring it to SEMA with a ton of items to give us the look and feel we can admire. This SUV leaves its OEM roots behind but continues to offer the reliability we want from this SUV while also bringing in the performance features that we can certainly admire when it gets out on the road to show off what it can do. This is a version of the Tucson you can get excited about and it’s called the Tucson Sport Concept.
Upgrades Made To the Tucson
Under the hood of the Tucson, a Boostec turbocharger has been added along with an R50 blow-off valve. You’ll also see an AEM air intake system and charge pipe kit to pump up the performance. Look toward the front of the area and you’ll see a Mishimoto G-Line intercooler that is attached to Vaccar front mount piping. The exhaust out back is a Vaccar cat back exhaust system that’s connected to Magnaflow Performance mufflers to give us the performance and fun that’s desired for the drive that we want to enjoy with this impressive SUV that can be a lot of fun on the road and on the track.
On the outside of the new Hyundai Tucson Sport Concept has a Vaccar front slip, side skirts, rear diffuser, and M& S mesh front grill. The version that arrived at the SEMA Show wore blue metallic paint with a two-tone silver accent to give this SUV a wonderful appearance. This SUV rides on 20-inch Concept One CF-003SX forged wheels that wear Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires. There is also a Power Stop front and rear Z23 Evolution brake kit that makes it a vehicle that can stop more easily when you put the hammer down and need to come to a stop.
This new concept model that has a large number of impressive upgrades that give you the ride you’d love to enjoy is one that has the qualities you may want to have for the drive. As one of the many Hyundai models offered for our viewing at the SEMA Show this new Tucson is one that would be a lot of fun on the road or at the tracks around us. As a vision of what you can have when you see your Hyundai dealer and ask about the upgrades offered from Vaccar, you’ll want to have some of these impressive items added for the fun you’re looking for.
