As the new Ram 1500 made its way across the stage at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show, this headliner of a vehicle captured our attention and brought us the details we want to see and admire for the drive that we will enjoy going forward. This new version of the Ram pickup truck offers increased performance and qualities that make it a more impressive model that can be right for the drive you want when you take it on the roads or out to the trails that are waiting for you to have the adventurous fun you want.
Even though we got a full look at this impressive new truck at the show, there might be some details you missed when you took a look at what the new Ram 1500 offers for the drive. This new truck showed up with an improved exterior design to be one a truck that looks more rugged and refined at the same time. This truck came to the show to give us a feeling of what will have for the future of driving in the truck world that we live in, but you likely noticed the exterior updates to this truck.
What You May Have Missed
The new Ram 1500 pickup truck brings a new massive touchscreen for the infotainment system, but this was discussed heavily and would have been absolutely impossible for you to miss when you saw this truck at the show. This new touchscreen is a full twelve-inches in size to be one of the largest offered on the market and be a screen that allows you to have the benefit of the connectivity you want with the Uconnect access that brings in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the experience you want.
There is a chance you missed out on the new e-Torq 48-volt motor-generator that’s found in the new Ram to give it a mild hybrid performance and help improve the overall efficiency of the model. It would have been difficult to miss this aspect of the new Ram when you saw being demonstrated at the show, but if you did miss out on this aspect, you know more about it now. This isn’t the item that I’m referring to as the item you would have missed as part of what the new Ram offers for us to see and enjoy when it came to the show.
Redesigned Front Ram 1500 Logo
The most subtle item you might have overlooked without realizing is the new Ram logo which features a geometrically designed ram head and a closed-in border with the Ram name across the top. This and the new front grill that has gone away from the old cross-hair grill are two items that you could have missed when this truck appeared at the show last month. Its ok if you missed seeing these items, they are present to give this truck an improved look, but certainly weren’t the featured aspects of this truck that would have captured your attention right away.
