Looking at the Chevrolet lineup you’ll see a new package that was offered for the Tahoe for 2018. This new package is called the Rally Sport Truck (RST) package and once it caught on for the Tahoe, Chevrolet began to look for more places to allow this package to be offered and add more for us to enjoy the drive. For the 2019 model year, the Chevy Suburban will enjoy the benefits of this RST package to make sure you can have this big SUV with more of the looks and power you want when you head out on the road.
The new Suburban RST Performance Package offers you a lot to love and will make the ride and style of the Suburban even more attractive to you. This package shows up with a new 6.2-liter V8 engine under the hood that pumps out 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque while being attached to a ten-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain upgrade is an important aspect of adding more for what you want when you head out for a drive and you want a smoother ride and more power coming from under the hood.
Even More for You in the Suburban RST
Adding the new powertrain isn’t enough to make this SUV a smooth ride that you’re going to admire, you need more. For this reason, Chevrolet added the benefits of the Magnetic Ride Control system to make sure you have the ride you’re looking for that can smooth out road imperfections and help make sure you don’t feel any body roll as you take a ride. This SUV also offers you a custom tuned performance exhaust system from Borla, performance front Brembo brakes, and a variety of excellent appearance upgrades to make this the right SUV for you to enjoy driving.
Nearly every piece of chrome on the new Suburban RST has been deleted and the addition of street styling with body-color items and blacked-out pieces give the new Suburban a look that makes it feel as if it should be used when it’s time to head out on the road. The Suburban RST is rated to tow up to 8,100 pounds with full performance metrics coming out closer to the launch of the vehicle which will be later in the summer. This impressive SUV is ready to go and will be one you want to enjoy.
Does this mean we can expect to see more models with RST packages added to the mix in the near future? This is certainly possible, but the 6.2-liter V8 engine most likely won’t be part of an upgraded package offered on any of the SUV models, that are smaller than the Tahoe. This incredible SUV lineup, from the Chevrolet Traverse to the Suburban, has simply been improved to offer you more of what you’re looking for and the qualities you need when you head out for a great drive. If you’re looking for an SUV that can be ideal for the drive you’re looking for, check out the Suburban RST later this year.
