What can you find that’s better than a Ford Mustang GT350? How about a GT500? This version of the Mustang was released in 1967 to offer excellent power from a massive 428 cubic inch V8 engine. The Shelby GT500 was a huge hit, and it returned in 2007 to give us a high-powered model that uses a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine that generates 500 horsepower. There’s also a higher-powered GT500KR that delivers 540 horsepower to the wheels. In 2011, the GT500 generated 550 horsepower. This is easily one of the most iconic versions of this muscle car.
Ford Mustang Mach 1
The Mach 1 isn’t the fastest version of this muscle car, but it certainly earns a place on this list of iconic models. The first time this name was used was in 1969 when it had a 428-ci V8 engine under the hood. The Mach 1 name was used again in 1971 and 1975. It reappeared in 2003 with a high-output V8 engine that generates 305 horsepower for the drive.

The Boss Mustang comes in several engine sizes, with the 302 being the most iconic. This model had the smallest engine of the Mustangs to wear the Boss name. This car delivered 290 horsepower and came out in 1969. The next time the Boss name was used, the car had a 351 cubic-inch engine, which made it more powerful and impressive. The next time we saw the Boss name, this car used a 429-ci engine that sent 375 horsepower to the wheels.
